The computerised library management system enables efficiency and effectiveness in the provision of stock, services and statistical information. The library stock is good quality and enhanced constantly with new publications including prize winning fiction and recently published non-fiction. We aim to provide an appropriate, interesting and challenging range of resources to support learning and teaching. The library's has six computers for students use that are connected to the school network, providing additional resources for private study. There are also study guides and CD Roms. Resources are provided for careers research and to support applications to colleges and universities The library promotes reading for enjoyment and has hosted visits from poets and authors. Book groups have submitted reviews to national websites and there is a regular display of reader development material to raise awareness of current literature. Students are encouraged to forward their views on the library stock through the Pupil Stock Forum.
